In February, the National Park Service began soliciting comments from the public on a proposed $2-per person increase in entrance fees at FSNHS, one of many historical sites operated by the NPS across the country. ...

In 2004, about 93,000 children 14 years of age and younger were treated in emergency rooms across the country for trampoline-related injuries -- up from nearly 63,400 children in 1996, a statement from the Safe Kids Kansas organization said. More than 90 percent of these injuries involve home trampolines. Safe Kids Kansas joins the American Academy of Pediatrics in recommending against placing trampolines in the home or yard, the agency statement said...
