  • Wet field in Iola forces FSCC schedule change (College Sports ~ 04/28/07)
    IOLA - Fort Scott Commununity College's baseball team will not be playing today (April 28) against Allen County as the baseball field on the campus here is still too wet for play, FSCC head coach Chris Moddelmog said in a phone call this morning. Allen County officials are hoping that the sunny, warm weather today will help the field dry out so that the Jayhawk Conference-Eastern Division doubleheader -- a key pair of games for both teams as they try to secure home-field advantage in the first round of the Region VI Tournament -- can be played Sunday afternoon. ...
