John Harvey Chambers, age 89, of Fort Scott, passed away early Tuesday morning, April 3, 2007, at St. John's Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. He was born September 4, 1917, in Fort Scott, the son of James Harvey and Emma Bessie (Dugan) Chambers. He married Marguerite L. (Wortman) Zimmerman April 10, 1943, in Wichita. She preceded him in death February 6, 1991. Harvey served his country in WWII for the U.S. Army. He was a mechanic and auto body repairman in the Fort Scott area for many years...
