Wiley J. Teague, 94, of Arcadia died at 4 a.m. Monday, September 17, 2007 at the Arma Care Center at Arma.

Mr. Teague was born October 11,1912 at Arcadia the son of James David and Bertha Berry Teague. Wiley wrked for many years for Dunton's Furniture Store in Arcadia. He was a lifelong resident of Arcadia and attended Arcadia schools. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the American Legion in Arcadia, the VFW in Pittsburg and the Oddfellows Lodged at Pittsburg. Survivors include four nieces, Billie Unruh of McPherson, Dawn Wilkey of Lyons, Daphn Darlington of Wichita, and Mavis Murrow of Iola, a friend, Jean Ham of Arcadia who helped provide for his care, and several other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, John Raymand Teague and three sisters, Dellabelle Leonard, Dawn Hamilton, and Daphyn Teague.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, September 21, 2007 at the Bedene Funeral Home at Arma with the Rev. David Peterson officiating. Burial will be at the Sheffield Cemetery near Arcadia. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Bedene Chapel in Arma where friends may call after 11 a.m. Thursday. The Fort Riley Burial Detail will conduct graveside flag folding services. The family suggests memorials to the PSU Foundation for John R. Leonard Book Scholarship.
