Here is a story of a life well lived, one that has never wavered from faith, family and duty – traveling upon many exciting avenues that eventually led back to home. Kenneth W. Lyon, known to most as Ken, was born in Fort Scott in 1934 to J.R. and Alice Lyon and was the youngest of 4 siblings. He grew up enjoying the small-town life and the simple pleasures that were offered. He had many interests that included science and aviation, and flew model airplanes as a child. This led to flying lessons at the local airport while attending Fort Scott High School, where he graduated in 1952.
