Miles captures state championship; Allison runner-up in Salina

Fort Scott High School sophomore Kenna Miles captured the first girls state wrestling championship in school history, while senior Jasper Allison finished as runner-up at the Class 4A State Wrestling Championships Saturday in Salina.

Miles (40-3) scored 28 team points and won by an 8-5 decision over Kinzie Rogers of Cottonwood Falls-Chase Co. (37-2) in the first place match of the 110-pound girls division.
