City commission asked to move forward with Memorial Hall improvements

Fort Scott City Commissioners on Dec. 5 discussed the current state of Memorial Hall and the future of the venue.

Citizen and former commissioner Josh Jones asked commissioners about potential upgrades to the nearly 100-year-old building, some of which include remodeling and updating bathrooms, updating sound and lights for events, and upgraded seats. The venue has begun to host a variety of events, including live music, comedians and other entertainment.
