Ronny Leon Hall

Ronny Leon Hall, 74, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 26, 2023 at 1:50 p.m. in Wichita, Kan., at Wesley Medical Center. He was the husband of Carol (DeCoudres) Hall, and they shared 55 years of marriage.

Ronny was born in Fort Scott, Kan., Jan. 24, 1949, to Hershel Leon Hall and Emma Lea Harris (Hall). He graduated from Fort Scott High School in 1967 and went on to attend MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, Kan. He then went to work as a welder for multiple companies and over 52 years of welding, Ronny reached his ultimate goal of being quality control manager (QC). One of the most enjoyable jobs that Ronny was working at was Great Plains Manufacturing in Ellsworth, Kan.

He was a member of The Assembly of God Church in Ellsworth and was actively involved in his church; he went to men’s group meetings and Sunday services, board meetings, etc. He enjoyed fishing, welding, and camping. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, kids, and grandkids/great-grandkids, but most of all with his wife Carol and dog Dakota. He will be remembered for his sacrifices and triumphs that he made for his family. He was a great family man and always loved to help whenever asked. He would drop anything he was doing at all times to help his family and others. He also beat Melissa at any game they played together; they were both very competitive against each other.

He is survived by his wife Carol, kids Daryl Hall, Mike Hall (Gina), Christie Hay (Jason), Jeff Hall (Melissa), 15 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Joyce Collier, son Timothy Hall, and nephew Kyle Collier.

Ronny’s celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Sept., 23 at the Assembly of God Church in Ellsworth at 10:30 a.m. and a private family service will be held in Fort Scott at Evergreen Cemetery on Saturday, Sept. 30, at 10:30 a.m.
