Question raised on counselor’s contracted status with county

A Bourbon County citizen took her concerns with the county counselor to the Bourbon County Commission on Tuesday.

Commissioners and Mary Pemberton discussed County Counselor Justin Meeks’ status of employment with the county. Pemberton later said her wish is for commissioners to “properly” classify Meeks as an employee per federal regulations.
