Matkin becomes new interim city manager

The City of Fort Scott has a new interim city manager.

On Tuesday, city commissioners accepted a proposal to maintain Jeff Hancock as advisor and consultant for anywhere up to six months. Hancock has been contracted as the interim city manager since Sept. 20 following the departure of Kelley Zellner as city manager.
