Sheriff’s ammo costs explained

The Bourbon County Sheriff’s Office has responded to a citizen’s concerns regarding figures presented by Sheriff Bill Martin during a budget work session in July.

On July 26, citizen Brian Wade said he asked in a Kansas Open Records Act request about costs of ammunition in the sheriff’s department. He also questioned whether certain types of ammunition were needed for law enforcement purposes.
