Ballot recount does not include Bourbon County

Bourbon County is not involved in statewide recounts for votes in the state treasurer’s race and the Constitutional amendment question, Bourbon County Clerk Ashley Shelton said Tuesday.

Shelton said the following counties will be recounting votes in the close state treasurer’s race between Republican candidates Steven Johnson and Caryn Tyson: Barton, Cloud, Dickinson, Harvey, McPherson and Ottawa. All other counties are not subject to the recount.
