Votes to be canvassed Thursday; Commissioners debate allowing who should sit on board of county canvassers

Bourbon County Commissioners have determined a date for canvassing provisional ballots from the Aug. 2 primary election.

After discussion on whether a newly-appointed commissioner could sit in on the canvass and whether a motion needed to be made to conduct the canvass, commissioners Jim Harris and Clifton Beth on Tuesday approved Beth’s motion to canvass ballots at 10 a.m. Thursday in the commission room at the courthouse.
