County to order forensic audit

Bourbon County officials have approved moving forward with a forensic audit of county funds, but have not released any specifics on the matter.

On Friday, Bourbon County Commissioners conducted a special meeting for the purpose of a 20-minute executive session under the justification for attorney-client privilege. The session, which was requested by Bourbon County Attorney Tiana McElroy, included Commissioners Jim Harris and Clifton Beth, Chief Financial Officer Susan Bancroft, County Counselor Justin Meeks, Chief Information Officer Shane Walker, and McElroy.
