County to renew status to entice newcomers

Bourbon County Commissioners have approved a resolution to be included in a state Department of Commerce program aimed at restoring population growth throughout the state.

Business Manager Susan Bancroft told commissioners on Tuesday the state Rural Opportunity Zone program was created in 2012 under the administration of former Gov. Sam Brownback.
