Lady tigers nip Lady Grizzlies in double OT

Fans expecting to see an exciting night of SEK high school basketball were likely not disappointed Friday night in Altamont.

The Fort Scott High School Lady Tigers (13-3, 7-1) outlasted the Labette County High School Lady Grizzlies (12-4) in a battle of SEK powerhouses, topping the Lady Grizzlies 55-53 in double overtime. With the win, the Lady Tigers take the lead in the SEK League standings.

The Tiger boys (3-13, 1-7) stayed with the Grizzlies (9-7, 6-3) down to the wire before Labette County pulled away late to snag a 52-44 win.
