County COVID-19 sick pay discussion continues

Bourbon County Commissioners on Tuesday approved a resolution dealing with accrual of sick time by county employees.

The approval came following a brief discussion on COVID-19 protocols and pay that was continued from the commission’s Jan. 18 meeting. During that meeting, Business Manager Susan Bancroft asked commissioners if newly-hired employees who have no sick time, but were “directly exposed” to COVID-19 or tested positive for the virus could receive “COVID time” up front rather than accruing it over time.
