Lady Tigers tame Purple Dragons; Tiger boys fall in Pittsburg

Fort Scott High School’s Tiger basketball teams split with the Pittsburg Purple Dragons in an SEK doubleheader Friday night in Pittsburg.

An impressive second half for the Lady Tigers (5-2, 2-1) propelled Fort Scott to a 44-26 win in the first game of the night, while Pittsburg’s boys (6-1, 4-0) cruised to a 77-54 win over the Tigers (1-6, 1-2) after a big third quarter in which the Purple Dragons outscored the Fort Scott 23-13.
