Tigers first at districts

The Fort Scott High School wrestling program began its postseason last weekend with first place finishes for both the boys’ and girls’ squads.

Alvin Metcalf was honored as district Coach of the Year for the Tiger boys’ program. Districts featured teams from Garnett-Anderson County, Ottawa, LaCygne-Prairie View, Eureka, Paola, Uniontown, Burlington, Humboldt, Iola, and Osawatomie.

Fort Scott High School hosted the competition.
