Jimmie V. Durossette, Sr.,

Jimmie V. Durossette, Sr., age 67, a resident of Fort Scott, Kan., died late Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015, at the Olathe Medical Center in Olathe, Kan. He was born Sept. 28, 1948, in Hood River, Ore., the son of Roy Floyd Durossette and Emma Jean Greer Durossette. Jimmie married Darlene McBeath on March 2, 1968, in Belton, Mo. Over the years, Jimmie had worked in various area factories. He enjoyed fishing and doing mechanic work.

Survivors include his wife, Darlene, of the home; a son, Jimmie V. Durossette, Jr. and wife, Orpha, of Fort Scott and a daughter, Michelle Lynn Durossette, of Arkansas City, Kan.; four grandchildren, Michael, Samantha, Matthew and Denver; three step-grandchildren, Genna, Virgil and James and three great-grandchildren, Deven, Annie and Zane. Also surviving is a brother, Roy Gene Durossette, of Cassville, Missouri. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Rachelle.

There was cremation. A time of visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5 at the Cheney Witt Chapel. Services are under the direction of the Cheney Witt Chapel, 201 S. Main, Fort Scott, Kan.
