Jackie "Jack" White, age 72, Prescott, Kansas passed away on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at the Girard Medical Center. He was born on Jan. 20, 1942 at Fort Scott, Kansas the son of Frank and Zora Bradley White. He graduated from Hume High School in the Class of 1960. He married Betty Christine Hollandsworth on Feb. 14, 1964. Two this union two children were born. This marriage later ended in divorce. He then married Sonita Martin, mother of his stepsons. He was a farmer, truck driver, heavy equipment operator and cowboy at heart. He enjoyed wearing his pistol and holster. He attended Beloit Technical School in 1988-89 receiving his certificate in heavy equipment. He was a former member of the Elks Lodge. Jack was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Naomi Jackson. He is survived by his son Michael White and wife Loree, daughter Christina Douglas, stepsons: Jimmie Martin and wife Linda, Loren Martine and wife Stephanie, and Lonnie Martin and wife Kristina, 14 grandchildren: Jake, Clint, Bryon, Stefani, Nikolas, Kyrsten, Shane, Skyler, Sheldon, Angie, John, Bradley, Steve, and Aaron, and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014, at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel. Burial will be in the Prescott Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Schneider Pleasanton Chapel. The family suggests contributions to Prescott Food Pantry or the Alzheimer's Association.
