LEE JUNIOR GILBRETH

Lee Junior Gilbreth, 72, former resident of Fort Scott, died Friday, June 3, 2011, at the Medicalodges in Gardner, Kan.

He was born Sept. 16, 1938 in Ozark, Ark., the son of Luther L. Gilbreth and Mildred Almond Gilbreth.

Lee worked for 22 years for Western Roofing. He served many years on the executive board as well as two terms as president of Roofers Local No. 20.

Lee served four years and nine months in the United States Air Force.

He married Carol Clark on Dec. 15, 1989, in Kansas City, Kan.

Survivors include his wife Carol, a sister Betty Lewis and husband Joe, Lawrence, Kan.; three sons, four daughters and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents "Bill" and Mildred Gilbreth.

There was cremation. Private family burial will be in U.S. National Cemetery under the direction of Cheney Witt Chapel. Words of remembrance may be submitted to the online guestbook at cheneywitt.com.
