Don Russell, age 91, resident of rural Redfield, Kansas, died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007, at Mercy Health Center.

He was born Jan. 14, 1916 in Devon, Kansas, the son of Charlie H. Russell and Bertha Pearl Umphries Russell. Don married Eunice Stine on Jan. 14, 1949 in Fort Scott. He was a lifelong farmer/stockman of the Redfield area. He was a member of the Grace Baptist Tabernacle.

Survivors include his wife, Eunice, of the home; one daughter, Janice Russell, Olathe, Kansas; two sons, J.D. Russell and wife Beverly, and Curtis Russell and wife Amber, all of Redfield; and one step-son, James Stine and wife Ila, Moran, Kansas. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Beth Ann Manyo; 4 brothers, George, Roy, Grant, and Dan Russell; and three sisters, Mildred Russell, Blanche Winship and Ruth Dunn.

Pastors Paul Rooks and Marty DeWitt will conduct funeral services at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Grace Baptist Tabernacle. Friends may call at Cheney Witt Chapel after 8 a.m. Wednesday or 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Centerville Cemetery.
