STELLA JUANITA MASON

Stella Juanita Mason, age 90, resident of rural Fort Scott, Kansas, died Wednesday, December 12, 2007, at the Mercy Health Center. She was born March 5, 1917, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Weisman. She married Ralph M. Mason. He preceded her in death in 1974. Stella received a Bachelor's Degree in Social Services and was involved in social services work. She also worked at the Fort Scott Public Library. She enjoyed bowling, crossword puzzles, and spending time with her family.

Stella is survived by a son, Jerry Mason and wife Tabitha, Fort Scott; three grandchildren, Amber, Jackie, and Jordan Mason; and two great-grandchildren, Jaden Nicole Davis and Zachary Mason Davis. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Fred, Donald, Jack, and George Weisman.

Funeral services for Stella Mason will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 18th, 2007, at the Cheney Witt Chapel, with Jared Witt officiating. Burial will follow in the U.S. National Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Tuesday.
