City moving forward with water project at Industrial Park

Work on a planned water line extension at Fort Scott's Industrial Park is a step closer after city commissioners approved a bid.

Commissioners voted unanimously Tuesday to accept the low bid of $562,284 from Norwak Construction of Goddard. The company has promised completion within 60 days.

Jason Dickman, contracted engineer for the city, recommended accepting the bid.
