Tiger boys fall to Holton in Sub-State

HOLTON - The 2022-23 season for the Fort Scott High School Tiger boys basketball team came to an end with a 61-54 loss to the Holton Wildcats in a first-round Sub-State matchup Tuesday night.

Despite five three pointers and perhaps the best game of junior Spencer Goldston’s high school career, the No. 11 seeded Tigers (9-12) missed some key layups and free throws down the stretch to fall to the No. 6 seeded Wildcats (13-8) who will advance to the Friday’s Sub-State championship game against the winner of Tuesday’s Baldwin-Iola matchup.
