Lady Tigers win, Tiger boys fall in Coffeyville

Both Fort Scott High School Tiger teams clawed back from deficits in their battles with Field Kindley High School, but only the Lady Tigers came out victorious Friday night in Coffeyville.

The 9-0 Lady Tigers, who are ranked seventh in the state in Class 4A, trailed 22-19 at halftime but outscored the Lady Golden Tornado (2-6) 15-4 in the third and 10-9 in the fourth to come away with a 44-35 victory.

The Tigers boys (3-6) stayed close in their matchup, but the Golden Tornado pulled away in the fourth with Josh Shobe sinking eight straight free throws late in the period to ice the game and give Field Kindley a 55-43 win.
