Hospital building transfer a done deal

Bourbon County officials have finalized agreements with the California-based Legacy Healthcare Foundation, a nonprofit organization, to transfer the former Mercy Hospital building and funds to the company.

On Tuesday, Bourbon County Commissioners approved motions related to a potential future project involving the former hospital building. The county will transfer the hospital building, as well as any documents associated with the closing, and about $2 million in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and Mercy funds to Legacy Healthcare Foundation.
