Man accused of double murder bound waives right to preliminary hearing

The defendant in a 2021 double-murder case was bound over for arraignment Tuesday morning in Bourbon County District Court.

Although Tuesday’s proceeding was initially set as a preliminary hearing, Robert Myers, the attorney for Dawson James Mitchell, informed Bourbon County District Judge Mark Ward that after conversations with the defendant, Mitchell planned to waive his right to a preliminary examination.
