Linda Katherine Davis

Linda Katherine Davis, 78, of Tulsa passed away Monday, May 16, 2022. She was born May 21, 1943 in Nevada, Mo., to James R. and Barbara L. (Lowe) Davis. Linda graduated from Fort Scott High School with the class of 1961 then graduated from Pittsburg State University with her Bachelors and Masters in education. Linda married Roll W. Davis in 1964, then moved to Waterville, Maine, where she was a long time teacher of English and literature at the Waterville High School. Linda and Roll were both active with the school plays for most of their teaching careers. Linda was a life long member of the Universal Unitarian Church until heath concerns caused her move to Tulsa, Okla., in 2017.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roll W. Davis, and her brother-in-law, Bruce Davis. She is survived by her son Matthew B. Davis and his wife, Karena, of Munising, Mich.; her brother James R. Davis and wife, Yvonne, of Tulsa, Okla.; brother-in-law Scott Davis and wife, Helen, of Sidney, Maine; sister-in-law, Teresa Davis, of Otis, Maine; niece Jennifer Foster and husband Scott, grandnieces Abigail and Annaliese, and grandnephew Cameron of Austin, Texas; niece Michelle Ives and husband, Randy, grandniece Kaitlyn Fox and husband, Chase, of Mablevale, Ark.; niece Elizbeth Davis of Ellsworth, Maine, and niece Katherine Davis of Lowell, Mass.

A memorial service will take place at the Universal Unitarian Church, Waterville, Maine, at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 4, 2022. Burial will be private after the service.
