Tigers sweep Golden Tornado

Field Kindley’s pitchers could not find a way to quiet Fort Scott’s bats in the Tiger varsity baseball team’s 16-1 blow-out victory over the Golden Tornado Tuesday evening at Lions Field on the campus of Fort Scott Community College.

Tiger starting pitcher Sam Deloney, who struck out three hitters in the first inning, finished with six strikeouts while only allowing three hits in a four-inning contest. The Tigers (9-7) scored in every inning and racked up 11 hits while only recording one error. Field Kindley used three pitchers.
