Lady Eagle softball gets sweep

Uniontown High School’s Lady Eagle varsity softball team opened its season with a sweep of Altoona-Midway Monday in Uniontown.

The Lady Eagles (2-0) collected 11 hits en route to an 18-2 victory in game one. The Lady Eagles only allowed one hit in the three-inning contest. Both teams recorded three errors.
