Shaw, Altic lead charge in win over Parsons

Fort Scott’s Harmony Shaw and Abby Altic led a second-half comeback as the Fort Scott High School Lady Tigers toppled the Parsons Lady Vikings 61-44 Friday night in Fort Scott.

Shaw and Altic each scored 17 points as the Lady Tigers (10-3, 5-1) outscored Parsons (9-4) 25-10 in the third quarter and 13-5 in the fourth quarter. There were several lead changes in the first half of a back-and-forth contest.

Despite 19 points from Collin Thomas, Fort Scott’s boys (2-11, 1-5) slipped in the second half to fall to Parsons (3-10), 52-45. The Tigers held slight leads in the first half, and the game was knotted at the end of the third quarter.
