Study to determine fate of Mercy building

When 2019 began, the question was what health care would be available in Bourbon County in the wake of Mercy closing the Fort Scott hospital on Dec. 31, 2018.

As 2019 draws to an end, many of the pieces are in place, but like a jigsaw puzzle picked up at a garage sale, it’s not all there.

One piece missing is the fate of building that housed Mercy Hospital Fort Scott.
