A lesson in jazz

Queen Bey gave audience members a lesson on the art of jazz and performance Friday morning at the Danny and Willa Ellis Family Fine Arts Center on the campus of Fort Scott Community College.

Bey, known as Kansas City’s Ambassador of Jazz, sang a few songs and interacted with students during her presentation on music and the history of jazz and blues. The program was part of this year’s Gordon Parks Celebration, which continues through Sunday.
