The Tigers defeated the Louisburg Wildcats 11-3 in a first-round game, and took down the Ottawa Cyclones 14-2 in the championship game.

The Fort Scott Tiger varsity baseball team (21-1, 11-1 in the SEK) claimed a regional championship in the Class 4A Regional tournament with a 14-2 shellacking of the Ottawa Cyclones (10-9) Tuesday night.

Tiger centerfielder Alec Michaud collected four RBIs in the Tigers’ second game of the day at the LaRoche Baseball Complex-Dave Regan Stadium. The Tigers blew open a three-run game with nine runs in the bottom of the third inning, and coasted to the win in five innings. The Tigers are one of eight regional champions who will compete next week in the Class 4A state tournament in Salina.
