’Hounds drop NEO in three

Fort Scott Community College’s volleyball team swept Northeastern Oklahoma A&M in a non-conference match at Arnold Arena Monday night, 25-16, 27-25, 25-22, improving to 8-5 on the season.

Brittany Barnekoff led the Greyhounds with 12 kills while Hana Ronnebaum added 10. Sophie Mader handed out 28 assists. Emily Jackson and Abbie Casper each had 13 assists. Madison Dehlinger had 4 blocks, 3 of them solo efforts.

The Greyhounds will step back into Jayhawk Conference play, where they are 1-2, tonight with a road match at No. 1-ranked defending Division II national champion Coffeyville (2-0, 15-0). The Red Ravens have won their last 30 matches going back to last season. They have also won their last 19 conference matches. Their last conference loss came at Fort Scott on Aug. 31, 2016, by 3 sets to 2.
