The 36th Civil War Encampment was held Saturday and Sunday at the Fort Scott National Historic Site. Several programs and demonstrations were held during the event. The weekend gave reenactors an opportunity to teach visitors what a soldier’s and, in some instances, his family’s life was like at the fort during Civil War. Fort Scott served as a supply base for several federal troops.
