Luke Harris (above) competed and placed at the 63rd Annual Flo Tulsa Nationals January 18-20. Rich in tradition, this is the oldest most prestigious, junior wrestling event in the world. There were athletes from 40 states ranging from 4 to 16 years of age competing for a national title. Harris, along with Fort Scott Kids Wrestling Club head coach Nathan Allison and assistant coach Jason Davis, would like to extend big thanks to assistant coach Russ Hughes for all the hard work and dedication he put in to bring Luke to this success. They would also like to extend a very big thanks to Ryan Johnson of the Paola wrestling club for stepping in and coaching Luke when they were unable to be there.

Harris’ results:

• Lost to Jace Williams, Elgin Grapplers, by pin.

• Defeated Trenton Bindel, Victory Wrestling, Kansas City, Mo., 4-0.

• Pinned John Broadwell III, Coffeyville, in the second period.
