Uniontown takes 2 of 3

UNIONTOWN — Uniontown’s volleyball team took two of three matches in Three Rivers League play Thursday night.

The Eagles (3-7) defeated Oswego in three sets, 26-24, 18-25, 26-24, and Altoona-Midway, 25-14, 25-10. They lost to Yates Center, 25-14, 25-20.

Yates Center won all three of its matches, also beating Oswego, 25-18, 25-18, and Midway, 25-7, 25-5. Oswego, ranked No. 10 in Class 2A by the Kansas Volleyball Association, defeated Altoona-Midway, 25-3, 25-8.

The Eagles play in a non-league quadrangular Tuesday at Riverton.
