Regina Branch Jackson

Regina Branch Jackson, 83, formerly of Fort Scott, passed away early Monday morning, June 19, 2017, in Oklahoma City. She was born Feb. 1, 1934 in Fort Scott, Kan., the daughter of Thomas Pettus and Mary (Moore) Branch. She married Robert Eugene Jackson March 9, 1952 in Fort Scott, Kan., and he survives of the home.

At a young age, Regina worked at the Western Insurance Company, and later for her father at the Fort Scott Coca-Cola Bottling Company. After her husband Bob purchased the local State Farm Insurance Agency, she began working with him as the office manager. Later, both she and Bob opened Rough Jack Stalls, a family-owned manufacturing company in Fort Scott, and installed horse barn stalls all over the country. After retirement, Regina enjoyed spending time with her family and great-grandkids, and working with friends at Eugene Ware Elementary in the school cafeteria.

In addition to her husband Bob, Regina is also survived by her children, Debora Barnes and husband Jim, of Ash Grove, Mo., Robert T. Jackson and wife Dara, of Fort Scott, Kan., and Mary K. Auler and husband Leonard, of Oklahoma City, Okla.; eight grandchildren, Jason Barnes, Tonya Dill, Christopher Jackson, Hallie Findley, Amanda Brooker, Drew Zimmerman, Tucker Jackson, and Sullivan Jackson; 15 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Thomas Pettus Branch II, and a grandson, Jeremy Barnes.

Following cremation, graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, July 21, 2017, at the Fort Scott National Cemetery under the direction of the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home.
