Robert Wesley Rossman

Robert Wesley Rossman, 69, of Fort Scott, died early Monday, June 26, 2017. He was born July 13, 1947 in Springfield, Mo., the son of Leroy Robert and Betty Marie (Zentz) Rossman.

Robert was a Vietnam veteran, and served his country with pride in the U.S. Army. Robert was a chef for many years until his retirement. He will be greatly missed.

Survivors include a son Robert, Jr., and a daughter Bonnie Jean; three sisters, Beth Reeves, of Galena, Kan., Mary Ann LeMaster, of Neodesha, Kan., and Sabrina Rossman-Smith, of Ovieda, Fla.; four brothers, Harold Rossman of Sedalia, Mo., Bill Rossman, of Powell, Mo., Stephen Rossman, of Baxter Springs, Kan., and Raymond Rossman, of LaCygne, Kan., and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Kathy Perry.

Following cremation, graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, July 6, 2017 at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Scott, Kan., under the direction of the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 9 a.m. and leave for the cemetery at 9:45 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Robert Rossman Memorial Fund at Union State Bank and may also be left in the care of the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home, 15 W.
