Bonnie Sue Phillips, 68, of Fort Scott, died Thursday morning, May 4, 2017 at her home. She was born June 7, 1948 in Fort Scott, Kan., the daughter of Merle Henry and Mable Eunice (Dunham) Button. She married Kenneth E. Phillips, Sr. Aug. 23, 1965 in Nevada, Mo., and he survives of the home.

In addition to her husband Kenneth, Bonnie is also survived by her children, Kenneth Phillips, Jr. and wife Tammy of Fort Scott, Paul Phillips and wife Tina of Milo, Mo., and Bobby Phillips and wife Jessica, of Fort Scott; three brothers, Ronald Button and wife Betty, Ralph “Peewee” Button and wife Charlotte, Donny Button, all of Fort Scott; three sisters, Merlene Button, Mary Button, both of Fort Scott, Judy Snow and husband Larry of Albertson, Ga.; eight grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Bobby Button, and four sisters, Patsy Button, Shirley Armstrong, Patty Smith, and Tammy Merriman.

Rev. Bryan Keith will conduct funeral services 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home with burial following at the Centerville Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening, May 8, 2017 from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
