Della Mae Conner

Della Mae Conner, 88, of Fort Scott, died at Mercy Hospital, Friday evening, Dec. 16, 2016. She was born March 20, 1928 in Hiattville, Kan., the daughter of Fred John and Delia Mae (Crays) Neth. She first married Merlin O'Dell and to them were born three children, Regina, John and Nickey. She later married Charles Sellers on May 28, 1978 in Miami, Okla., he preceded her in death on June 21, 1992, she then married James Conner on April 7, 1997 in Eureka Springs, Ark., he preceded her in death on May 29, 2014.

She spent her first 47 years in Hiattville, Kan., then the next 17 years in Columbus and Cherokee, Kan., and moved to Fort Scott, Kan. in or around 1995 for the remainder of her life.

She is survived by a daughter, Regina and husband, Tom Woodworth of Iola, Kan., two sons, John and his wife, Roberta O'Dell of Fort Scott and Nickey and his wife, Kathy O'Dell of Fort Scott, 14 grandchildren,19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

Rev. Marty DeWitt will officiate funeral services for Della at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2016 at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home, with burial to follow at the Hiattville Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 to 7 p.m., Tuesday Dec. 20, 2016 at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Presbyterian Village Good Samaritan Fund, donations may be sent to or left in the care of the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home, 15 W.
