BURLINGTON -- Fort Scott High School's softball team extended its winning streak to nine games with a sweep of Labette County in Southeast Kansas League play at Don Hewett Field Friday.

The Tigers scored in the bottom of the first and second innings in the opener. In the first, Katie Gorman led off with a single to the third-base side, moved up on a ground out and scored on catcher Abby Denton's double. Courtesy runner Jenny Denton scored on Lane Bohlken's single to right.
