Eagle baseball 4th at Northeast

ARMA -- Uniontown baseball opened its season here Wednesday witha fourth-place finish in the Northeast Tournament after going 0-2.

The Eagles fell in the semifinal to Liberal, Mo., 9-8. The Bulldogs scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh.

Kolby Seested went 3 for 4 for Uniontown while J.P. Pearson was 2 for 5. Jesse Kuns drove in 2 runs.

St. Paul defeated the Eagles in the third-place game, 5-3. Uniontown scored once in the top of the seventh but stranded the tying run on second.

Pearson, Graham Hathaway, Cale Coyan and David Bradbury each had 2 hits.
