Five Eagles named to All-TRL teams

Five members of Uniontown's basketball teams earned spots on the All-Three Rivers League basketball teams, includong two First Team players.

Junior Garrett Elder was named to the boys' First Team and junior David Bradbury was a Second Team pick. Both were also named Honorable Mention All-Class 2A picks by both the Wichita Eagle and Topeka Capital-Journal over the weekend.

Shalina Harper was picked for the girls First Team and was named an All-Class 2A Honorable Mention choice by the Wichita Eagle. Holly Shinn and Ane Dublang were both Honorable Mention picks for the All-TRL list.

Hunter Frazell of Crest and Troy Howard of Northeast were picked to the boys' First Team as unanimous selections. They were joined by Elder, Jayhawk-Linn's Brandon Gray, Northeast's Ethan Snider and Crest's Evan Godderz.

The Second Team has Bradbury, Oswego's Elijah Elliott, Northeast's Drew Mills, Pleasanton's Brenton Laver, St. Paul's Braven Born and Marmaton Valley's Brady Newman.

Josie Albertini and Jordyn Tuck of Class 1A-Division I third-place finisher St. Paul join Harper on the girls' First Team along with Sydney Dent of Pleasanton, Jayci Polhlopek and Autumn Walker of Northeast.

Second Team girls' picks were McKenzie Tynon of Marmaton Valley, Madison Sheddrick of Oswego, Kelsea Choate of Northeast, Zoe Marshall of Pleasanton and Holly Hutcherson and Chrisana Maurer of St. Paul.
