Thursday's semifinal pits Three Rivers League rivals Uniontown and Oswego against each other in what should be the early game at 6 p.m. as those schools will have a greater combined mileage to travel to Sedan. Colgan and Sedan will play in the other semifinal at 7:30.

The girls' championship game will be held in Sedan Saturday at 6 p.m.

The rest of the boys' first round was played Tuesday night. Sedan (21-0) is also the top seed in this bracket and dispatched Uall, 83-41. No. 2 West Elk downed Oswego, 63-37. And No. 4 Colgan outscored Yates Center, 57-37.

West Elk (15-6), which saw senior Isaiahh Loudermilk -- who has committed to the University of Wisconsin for football -- pass the 1,000-point and 1,000-rebound marks in Tuesday's game, will be Uniontown's opponent in Friday's semifinal. Colgan (13-7), which took on a Class 2A school for the first time this season when it played Yates Center after playing in the 3A/4A CNC League, will play Sedan in the other. The times will be determined by greater combined mileage, which could put the Uniontown-West Elk game in the 6 p.m. slot.

Saturday's boys' final will be held in Sedan at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

Championship game winners move on to the Kansas Class 2A State Tournament at Kansas State University.
