The theme for this year's parade is "An Old-Fashioned Christmas." Following the parade will be the ceremonial lighting of the tree, prize drawings and a visit by Santa Claus.

Fort Scott is beginning to look a little more like Christmas every day, as preparations are underway for special holiday events.

The annual Christmas parade and Mayor's Christmas Tree lighting will be held Tuesday and the annual Homes for the Holidays Tour is set for Dec. 4-6.
