D. Keith Johnson, age 68, of Columbus, Kan., went to meet his Heavenly Father on Saturday July 11, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Keith was born on Aug. 11, 1946 to Menford D (Joe) Johnson and Gloria Leonhardt. Born and raised in Fort Scott, Kan., he graduated from Fort Scott High School. While growing up he was better known as "Hosie." He lived in the Kansas City area for many years while working as a tuck-pointer, traveling extensively. Although called "the old man" in his younger days he loved riding his Harley. Later he moved to Pittsburg, Kan., and worked for Interstate Exterminators, retiring in 2011. Keith loved life and lived it to the fullest saying "I did it my way." He also enjoyed fishing, listening to his music, spending time with family and more recently just enjoyed watching all the animals visiting his country back yard. He loved all his family and his God, ready to ask lots of questions of his heavenly father. That larger than life personality and deep voiced belly laugh will be missed by all his family, who loved him dearly, and by all the friends he made along life's journey. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife Ronda (Lloyd) Johnson of 24 years, Brother Kenny (Diana ) Johnson of Meza, Ariz., three daughters Mindy (Chris) Hager of Kansas city, Coty (Chad) Johnson of Columbus, Kan., and Deana Schultz of Arma, Kan.
